Qualcomm Technologies recently announced the launch of the most advanced Snapdragon® mobile platform to date - the fifth-generation Snapdragon® 8 Ultra Edition mobile platform for Galaxy, which will support Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra globally and will also be available in certain regions for Galaxy S26+ and S26. This platform features a custom third-generation Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, pioneering Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU, and advanced Qualcomm Hexagon™ NPU, opening up an extraordinary experience for Galaxy users. It not only significantly enhances work efficiency but also brings enhanced imaging features such as advanced professional video (APV) shooting [1] and more personalized terminal-side AI experiences like Now Nudge.

Qualcomm Technologies and Samsung have collaborated closely to optimize the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition for Galaxy devices to support the latest Galaxy AI experience. From providing timely and relevant suggestions to handling various operations on behalf of users in the background, these functions can run smoothly and efficiently on the Snapdragon platform. The fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition for Galaxy also adopts Qualcomm® Smart Transmit™ technology, which optimizes the uplink power consumption of 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and satellite links, helping users maintain stable connections. This technology can provide faster uplink rates, wider network coverage, and seamless performance experiences without compromising security and energy efficiency. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra and S26+ are equipped with Qualcomm FastConnect™ 7900 mobile connection system, which further enhances the experience through its integrated Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, bringing faster interaction response speeds in daily use.
