The MPS Chengdu factory has expanded by nearly 10,000 square meters, focusing on the development of power management chips.

According to the information from Chengdu High-tech Zone, on August 17th, the wholly-owned subsidiary of global analog chip manufacturer MPS, Cheng

du Xinyuan System Co., Ltd., initiated a new round of capacity expansion plan. This expansion was located in the GaoTou Electronics · Xinchuang Intelligent

Valley in Chengdu High-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone, aiming to increase nearly 10,000 square meters of manufacturing space to enhance the

production capacity of high-end power management chips.

As the first wholly-owned subsidiary established by MPS globally, Chengdu Xinyuan has been developing in the local area for over twenty years and

shoulders the responsibility of the R&D and operation center for the Asia-Pacific region. The company has long focused on the testing and research of high

-performance analog and mixed-signal power chips, and its end applications cover consumer electronics, communication infrastructure, industrial control,

automotive electronics, and cloud computing, etc. Currently, the company has over a thousand core patents and has become a key export unit in the local

area.

The Xinchuang Intelligent Valley park where the expansion is taking place is now fully occupied, gathering many leading enterprises in the fields of new

display and integrated circuits. The newly built production line is located close to Chengdu Xinyuan's existing factory area, and this layout not only helps

with the efficient linkage of new and old production lines but also enables the sharing of supply chain resources and factory facilities, thereby effectively

reducing the daily operating expenses after the expansion.

In addition to this production line lease and expansion, MPS is also continuously advancing the construction of its fourth global R&D and testing base. This

project aims to build a comprehensive space integrating operation, testing, and R&D. It is expected that after the project is completed, the annual testing

volume of chips in this base will reach 20 billion, and it is committed to becoming the leading analog chip R&D and testing platform in Asia. These

successive investments fully demonstrate MPS's long-term strategic layout for the Chengdu base.
