Littelfuse/C&K has launched the TDB series of ultra-small, half-spaced surface-mount toggle switches.
Rosmont, Illinois, USA, and Shanghai, China - April 21, 2026 - Littelfuse Corporation (NASDAQ: LFUS), a leading enterprise providing advanced solutions for safe and efficient power transmission, today announced the launch of the Littelfuse/C&K® TDB series. This is a compact, half-spaced surface mount toggle switch series specifically designed to support high-density PCB designs with stringent requirements for space, reliability, and manufacturability.
As electronic systems continue to shrink, design engineers are confronted with an increasing number of challenges: how to install configuration and addressing switches into increasingly compact layouts without affecting electrical performance or assembly yield. The TDB series addresses these challenges by significantly reducing the internal mechanism size and providing a 1.27-millimeter half-spacing size. This size enables higher component density while maintaining robust electrical and mechanical reliability.
The TDB series features gold-plated bifurcated contacts, enabling stable and low-resistance signal integrity. It also adopts a top-belt sealing structure, supporting automatic surface mount soldering and water-based cleaning after reflow soldering. The TDB series is a supplementary solution to C&K's TDA series, expanding the design flexibility for applications requiring ultra-compact surface mount toggle switches.
The TDB series has contact ratings up to 50 V DC, 100 mA (steady state), with mechanical and electrical lifetimes of 1,000 cycles. It supports reliable configuration settings for various low-power control systems. These switches are compatible with standard SMT processes and are available in tube or reel packaging to support large-scale production environments.
"Given the limited space and the unquestionable reliability, the TDB series can meet the needs of design engineers," said Jesus Santos, the global product manager of Littelfuse. "Its ultra-small package, gold-plated contacts and washable sealing properties enable the design to be confident even in dense and demanding applications."

Common Questions and Answers about TDB DIP Switches
What is the difference between the TDB series and traditional dip switches?
The TDB series adopts a half-spaced (1.27 millimeters) surface mount design, which can significantly reduce the PCB size while supporting automated SMT assembly and washable processes.
2. What benefits does the top belt seal provide for production?
This seal can protect the internal contacts during reflow soldering and water-based cleaning processes, thereby increasing production output and the long-term reliability of mass production.
3. What electrical performance can the designer expect from the TDB switch?
The TDB switch offers a steady-state contact rating of up to 50 V DC and 100 mA, a maximum contact resistance of 100 mΩ, and a mechanical and electrical lifespan of 1,000 cycles.
4. What configurations are available?
This series offers options of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 bits, allowing designers to match the configuration density according to the application requirements.
5. How does TDB integrate into C&K's set screw product lineup?
TDB offers a more compact half-spaced alternative solution for designs with extremely limited PCB space, complementing the TDA series.
